Assigning a line to a client organization |
You can now assign a line to a client organization (such as the client organization called TEST in our example) in the lines list module. This feature is available in the menu "Assign line" which is accessible by clicking on the more menu button at the end of the row.
Case 1: assigning 100% of the charges to one level of the organization (can be cost center, department, business unit depending on the client's chosen organization).
A window will open to let you choose the organization where you would like to assign the line.
Click on . Two indicators will confirm whether the assignment has been done successfully.
- A message in the upper right corner of the application (operation complete).
- An orange highlight on the line that you just assigned
These indicators will last for a few seconds and will disappear.
You can also change the assignment of a line in the more menu button by clicking on "Change assignment".
Case 2: splitting charges of a line between two or more nodes in the organization (two or more cost centers, departments, business units).
In the Invoice module/line list, choose the client organization.
At the end of the row containing the line whose charges you would like to split, choose "Assign line".
Drag and drop the share of the pie to the cost center(s) where you need to split them. Click Submit.
You will now see that the charges of one line is split by percentage. You can also see the nodes (cost centers, departments..) in which they are being shared. Note that these columns are customized. You can display these information by clicking on the field library or the "waffle" in the upper left of the grid.
Note: how to customize columns in the line list grid:
Click on the switcher in the upper left of the grid.
Click on the second switcher with the plus sign . Create a name for your customized profile and click on the check mark.
Choose the columns you need by clicking on the plus sign.
Close the field library.
The data will now be part of your table.
