Modify the Analysis Scope of the Trends Module

To access the Trends module, go to Billing-> Trends

 

Choose the Analysis Scope

Upon entering the module, by default, the scope is the entirety of your root.

An indicator displays the scope taken into account: 

Click on "Modify" to open the "Node Selection" modal:

Click in the "Organization" field to choose the organization you want to analyze. The list offers all available organizations from the root (except directory-type organizations). The type of organization is indicated and can be one of the following types:

• Client 
• Provider
• Location
• Product Profile

Once your organization is selected (in our example, we select "Account Organization"), the "Level" field will offer you either:

• to work with the entire organization by selecting "Entire Organization": the costs taken into account will concern your entire root

• to perform the analysis on a specific level of the organization:

When selecting a particular level, a new section appears in the modal.

This section allows you to select one or more nodes of this level to define the scope of your table: 

• the node column indicates the label of the nodes you can select.
• the path column displays the full path of the organization to differentiate nodes with the same label but at different levels

Once the "Node Selection" modal is validated, the Trends table: 

• updates by taking into account only the data from the customized scope you have selected
• the analysis scope is summarized at the top of the table
• the label of the first column adapts to the label of the chosen level
• the first column of the table specifies the node concerned by the cost breakdown

Example: 

In the "Account Organization", the node "CS-560-155" contained at level "3 - Cost Center", on the "Mobile" segment, on the product group type "Subscriptions", on the product group category type "Discounts and Adjustments", on the product group "Discounts" generates a billed amount of $17.49 for the period of March 2025.

Modify the Analysis Scope 

At the summary level displaying the active scope:

• clicking on the label allows you to deactivate the selection. The scope is then no longer taken into account in the table data.
  • The node indicator becomes dimmed to indicate it is deactivated
  • The organization indicator grays out to specify that it does not include all the nodes indicated to its right:
