The graphs of the Trends module allow visualization of expenses:
- by customizable organizational scope
-
over a customizable rolling period (up to 24 months or 8 quarters)
The data displayed in the Trends graphs therefore depend on:
- the selected scope (Click here to see the customization options for the analysis scope)
- the selected period (Click here to see the customization options for the analysis period)
When modifying the analysis parameters, the displayed data recalculates automatically.
To access the graphs of the Trends module, go to Billing -> Trends.
At the top right of the module, toggle the switch to the right to switch to graph mode
Using the Graphs (Graph Mode)
This screen offers a display of the table but in graphical form.
Four sections make up this screen:
Section 1: The Slider
The slider allows filtering the amounts displayed in the widgets and KPIs offered on the page.
By selecting an amount range:
the pie charts will display all shares distributed by node, over the entire cumulative selected period, where the aggregated cost of the lines constituting the node falls within this range
the histogram will display all shares distributed by node, broken down by period, where the aggregated cost of the lines constituting the node falls within this range.
Drag the slider to display the range you want.
By clicking on the "pen" icon (to the right of the amounts), you can edit the start or end amount of the range more precisely.
Clicking on the toggle allows filtering not by an amount range, but by a percentage range of the total amount of the analysis set.
Section 2: KPIs
A "Total" KPI that displays the total amount according to the scope and period
An "Elements" KPI that displays the number of nodes that make up the total displayed amount.
Section 3: Pie Charts
Two pie charts are offered to represent the distribution of total costs by nodes. The costs considered are those for the entire selected period range.
Cost distribution over the scope
-
Discount distribution over the scope (working with a pie chart, it is not possible to display negative values. Therefore, a chart is dedicated to discounts to avoid distorting the distribution percentages)
Section 4: Histogram
The bar histogram will allow visualization of cost evolution, still broken down by nodes, but also broken down by costs per month (or per quarter) over the chosen period range.
Search Bar
A search bar at the bottom of the page allows applying a filter on a specific node of the displayed scope.
Clicking in the search field offers the list of available nodes or allows searching by label.
Once the node is selected, the page recalculates taking into account only this node.
