1 — Overview
From the mytem360 inventory management, three management actions related to eSIM are directly available in the detail view (row detail) of a device in the fleet:
Switch to eSIM — convert a physical SIM into an eSIM.
This action is accessible from the Order section of the row detail (for Lines 1, 2, and 3).
- Replace the eSIM — replace a defective existing eSIM with a new one
Generate an eSIM QR code — request generation of the activation QR code
These actions are accessible from the general section (for SIMs 1, 2, and 3) of the detail view in the inventory dashboard.
| ℹ️ These actions are only visible if they are enabled in your authorized actions profile (Account Management > mytem360 Profiles). If you do not see them, please contact your administrator. |
2 — Switching from a Physical SIM to an eSIM
Display Conditions for the Action
The action “Switch to eSIM” is visible in the detail view (row detail) of a Line (slot 1, 2, or 3) only if:
- A physical SIM (non-eSIM) is associated with the line's slot
- Your catalog contains at least one order pack with an eSIM whose provider matches that of the line
- The action is enabled in your authorized actions profile
Procedure
- In the inventory management module table, search for the line whose physical SIM card needs to be switched to an eSIM
- Open its detail view by clicking in an empty area.
- In the Order section, click on “Switch to eSIM”.
“Switch to eSIM” action in the line’s detail view
- You will be redirected to the order module, filtered to compatible eSIMs (same provider, SIM Cards section only):
| Catalog situation | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Multiple eSIMs available | Order page displayed — select the eSIM of your choice and add it to the cart (quantity locked at 1) |
| Only one eSIM available | The order page is not displayed; you will go directly to the first order entry screen. |
Shop page filtered — SIM Cards section only, eSIMs from the line’s provider
- Complete the order process until the order is confirmed
Automatic Inventory Update
| Order Status | What Happens in the Inventory |
|---|---|
| Provider processing in progress | Temporary eSIM created in the management group and associated with the employee if the physical SIM was. ICCID entry available. |
| Processed by the provider | The eSIM replaces the physical SIM on the line. The physical SIM is automatically discarded and removed from all management groups. |
| Cancelled | The temporary eSIM is deleted. The original physical SIM remains active with its associations. |
View in the inventory after receipt acknowledgment, when the order status changes to “Provider processing in progress”:
- The original physical SIM is still in the fleet associated with the line and user
- A temporary eSIM has been created and associated with the user

| ⚠️ The disposal of the physical SIM is automatic and irreversible once the status changes to “Processed by the supplier.” It is excluded from all management groups. |
3 — Replacing Your eSIM

The detailed view of an eSIM card includes a “QR Code” section accessible from the navigation menu of the detail view.

Filled State — QR Code Available
Once imported by the distributor contact, the QR code is displayed in a ratio that allows it to be scanned directly from a mobile phone.
