- Edit a scheduled report
Editing a report in the module "Manage reporting schedules" allows the user to access all the settings saved for a given report.
Editing therefore involves revisiting all the settings saved for each step of the report creation and dissemination (reporting workflow). The settings are therefore changeable.
When you edit one report in the table of scheduled reports (which goes back to step 1 of the report creation and dissemination workflow), settings in the succeeding steps may take up their default values. This happens for example when there is a lot of variation in the settings for one given report.
Settings that can be edited in a report:
If the report settings have been untouched after having clicked on the "Edit" icon of a report, then the settings are uniform and can therefore be changed.
Example:
I have a report A whose set up includes the possibility to analyze several months in a given analysis, such as trimestrial analysis.
This report will be disseminated every month with the analysis period automatically adjusted for the last trimester.
If I chose another report B which also gives the possibility to choose several months in a given analysis, such as trimestrial analysis, the same settings will be saved.
If I choose a report C whose settings do not give the possibility to choose several months in one given analysis...
...then all the settings will be set to default, and only the last month will be saved in the settings.
Recipients:
In step 3 of the reporting workflow (choosing recipients and the scope), the mailing list will stay the same regardless of the report chosen. However, a scope linked to a recipient may be edited.
In fact if we change from one type of report such as a financial type of report (in which the recipients are linked to client or carrier organizations), to another type of report such as an Inventory report (in which the recipients are linked to pools), then the linkages between recipient and scope "by default" will be reinitialized as if the report is being created from scratch.
Options:
Step 4 of the reporting workflow comprises the settings to customize email messages and define the frequency of dissemination. These settings are saved even when we change the type of report. They can be of course edited by user.
Like all the actions in mytem360 tables, the feature is accessible by clicking on at the end of the row of each report.
