Lookup data using simple and advanced search |
You can lookup inventory data using the simple or advanced search function.
1- Global search engine
As soon as you connect to the inventory module, you will see the search functions on top of the page.
Your search results depend on the scope applied when you connect to mytem. The scope is indicated on the top right part of the page.
In this example’s case, CFI group (Groupe CFI), it allows you to search in all of your inventory data and display the results in the table (grid) such as employee, device, phone line, or SIM card.
1.1 – You can complement the general search results with an additional filter in one of the criteria in your table by clicking on the magnifying glass symbol as you glide your search cursor over the said criteria.
1.2 – And /or arrange the results in alphabetic or numeric order on some fields when the tiny arrow is available next to them:
2 - Advanced search
Clicking on advanced filter lets you see all the filters that you can use to search information in the inventory module. These filters are arranged by themes which are scope, device, employee, phone lines licenses, SIM, positions.
2.1 – Changing your scope:
You can refine search by applying filters on the scope (sub-scope) of your organization in the three tabs organization, vendor, site.
For the users of mytem360’s previous version, V4, the idea of a pool has been replaced by the term organization in V5.
2.2 – The scope in question is labelled in blue just under the search engine.
2.3 – Advanced filters:
You can choose search criteria in mytem by clicking on the radio button to the left of each choice. The criteria have a cumulative effect as you choose one and add another. The number of criteria selected is indicated by a dot containing a number to the right of a given category, for example 2 for device.
All of the chosen criteria are labelled. Those that have been applied disappear from the list of available criteria.
To avoid the application of criteria giving empty search results (for example “employee without device” and “dual SIM device”) the list of criteria changes as a function of the earlier criteria applied (dynamic list).
This list of remaining available criteria changes based on your previous choices.
Below is an example of a grid after a search combining advanced and simple filters. “Lookup phone lines without devices in my scope or client organization(s)”.
