Electronic devices are a major consumer of carbon, but there are ways to reduce its impact, notably:

• Choosing a device according to the carbon consumption criteria for its manufacture and operation
• The shelf life of the device in the company

The carbon footprint module allows you to easily set up:

• The carbon cost of device according to its type and manufacture
• The carbon cost of a device according to its type of use
• The average shelf life by type of device

This sheet presents :

1/ The grid referencing the carbon costs and shelf life of your device by type.
2/ How to modify "on the fly" the carbon costs and average shelf life of your device.

1 - The carbon footprint grid

The grid provides:

• device category
• device type
• manufacturing carbon cost in kgCO2e
• its cost of use in kgCO2e/year
• the expected depreciation period (in years)

2 - How to modify "on the fly" the carbon costs and average shelf life of your device

The modifications you make will be effective for your entire account.

Hover over the value you wish to modify, then click on the pen: 

Enter the new value and confirm using the green check mark:

The new value is taken into account, a dot indicates that this value has been customized:

To reset only this value to the default value, hover over the modified value, then click on the 'trash can' logo:

To reset an entire line of data for device type, click on the three small dots (more menu) at the end of the line, then click on "Reset to default values".
