What is an Extended Domestic Zone?
In some carrier plans, part or all the domestic allowance of data can be used in other countries than the original country of the carrier / SIM.
- As an example in Europe, a % of the domestic data allowance can be used in all the countries of the European Union.
- As another example, some Canadian domestic plans can be used in the United States of America.
Setting up an Extended Domestic Zone
In Datalert, it is possible to define for each plan, a "Extended Domestic Zone" with the following steps:
- Create a new zone (you cannot edit an existing zone for that)
- Check the "Extended Domestic Zone" checkbox
- Include into the zone the countries for which it is possible to use domestic data allowance
- Define the volume that you can use in this zone: Extended Domestic Data Cap (this volume cannot be over the domestic volume of the plan)
- Define the price per MB that the carrier will invoice if a line goes over the Extended Domestic Data Cap.
- Submit
