Decide on the actions you want to take in the policy in the event of a device (iOS) has the data disabled and the user puts it back on.
Disable data on Android / Reactivate data
On Android when the data is disabled via the MDM, it is not possible for the user to switch it back ON directly. The user needs to ask the Admin to do it. When the Admin enables data on the phone again it only makes possible for the user to switch back it on.
Disabling data on iOS / Reactivate data
On iOS when the data is disabled via the MDM, it is always possible for the end user to switch it back ON.
Roaming management is now improved with more smartness. When a user is traveling in a zone and goes over a threshold that disabled his data on the phone (1), and travels (in the same billing cycle) in another zone where he still has an allowance (2) and (3), the smart roaming is authorizing the phone to connect to the carrier for data usage again.
Previously after the data was disabled, the user had to wait the end of the month (or an action from the user/admin) to get data au.horized again, regardless of the zone you are traveling in.
If the use travels again in a zone where your data should be off, the smart roaming disables the data on the device (the USA in the example below).
The smart roaming is managed into the third TAB of the telecom policy.
