Use of MDM profiles

At many levels in Datalert portal, it is now possible to apply manually a MDM profile’s policy to a device. Either manually or via a policy. This new feature is available fo the following MDM:

• Microsoft Intune
• XenMobile Citrix

Each MDM profile configuration set in the MDM console can be retrieved from Datalert and applied to the lines according to the telecom policy *

The procedure to follow is :

1-Set your desired profiles on your MDM console (see documentation of your MDM service provider)

2-Activate (synchronize) the connection MDM with Datalert in the menu "settings" of Datalert (Once synchronized, the profiles are recovered automatically)

3-Define your telecom policies, your alerts with the possibility to apply profiles or disable the use of data

Profil management activation (optional)

In Microsoft Intune

Go to Settings/ MDM Settings / Step 3

Into step 3 switch the right button to "On"

In Xenmobile

Go to Settings/ MDM Settings

Switch the button at the bottom to "On"

Profil management use

Use of MDM profils on the line list

Once profile management is activated, classic MDM button is replaced with "MDM Management" combo box.

It is possible to apply a MDM profil to a line or a group of lines.

To apply a profil to single line:

Click on MDM Management combo box

Select the listed profil you want to apply:

It is also possible to cancel the last profile or all profiles applied on a line to be sure that the line is clean of any profile.

To apply to a group of selected lines:

Go to "Select an action"

Choose a listed profil to apply:

In all cases the name of the selected profil and the time is was applyed is displayed under the "MDM Management" combo box on the line list or the line details:

Use of MDM profils on policies

When setting a policy, a new possible action is to apply a MDM profil. For domestic as for roaming, this action is possible. Depending upon MDM and OS (iOS, Anbdroid, Window 10), profil settings' avaibility can vary.

Intune/Datalert integration new screen

The screen to connect Intune with Datalert has been improved. It comes with 3 steps to be more user friendly.
